Beagle : : Female : : Adult
Kindness Matters Rescue has been super busy lately.
Here is another of our intakes - Baby Girl. We are helping with a county case in which many beagles needed rehoming. Baby Girl presents with huge masses on her lower abdomen and would have been euthanized due to her medical condition.
However Kindness Matters Rescue has a special love for those most in need and we were willing to take Baby Girl in as a fospice dog. Or if there was hope for cure we would stand by her every step of the treatment journey. We were able to intake her because a wonderful person who previously adopted 2 dogs from us stepped up to foster. She did this even knowing her heart could be broken!
X-rays showed clear lungs and more importantly showed that the masses were likely hernias. There is a small suspicious mass on one nipple but it is small and early so vet was not worried. On 6/27 Baby Girl will have a big operation! 2 hernias fixed, lower mammary chain removed, spayed and a dental!
Other good news is that she is negative for heart worm and all tick diseases!
Baby Girl is going to have a lot more Happy Years. She is only about 7.
We are so happy to have stepped up for her and saved her life!
We can’t do what we do without your support. Vetting costs are high with all our intakes and especially because many of our intakes need more than the standard rescue veterinary care. We have a pay pal link and also accept old fashioned checks or cash. (pm for address to send to).
